What's up everybody. Welcome to another episode of teach two dumb dudes um, bento I'm with my boy Bobby today, we're talking to William Branham. William is a Navy seal veteran with 26 years of service. Currently he's a CEO of naked warrior recovery. He helps people recover from stress, anxiety, pain, people have trouble sleeping a lot of PTSD from veterans, of course. And he kind of steps through and changes their mindset of C very informative podcast. He really knows the stuff about CBD. We also talked about, you know, being a veteran what it's like coming outta the military. Really good dude with some really good insights. Rhode Island. I mean, I, I say it all the time and my, my wife actually makes fun of me for saying it just another day in paradise. Like I don't say it like that. I can't cooler than that.

Bobby:

Sure, sure. Well, yeah, I believe you well, thanks. Thanks so much, William, for your time. Thank you so much for coming on and, and talking to two dumb dudes. We were really excited to have Y on not only you know, because you're a veteran, but because you've kind of leaned into the CBD stuff and especially promoting mental health for veterans, which is always big for me. I, myself am a veteran as well. I did four years in the army signals, intelligence analyst, you know a what analyst signals

William:

intelligence analyst. Gotcha. Yep. I know what you're saying. Yep. I

Bobby:

know what you did. And Yeah, man. So we really just appreciate your time, you know, and like I said, coming on and, and talking to us a little bit about what you've been up to especially the get naked stuff. The first time I saw it, I was like, wait, what? Get naked, hold on. But then I dug a little bit, a little bit deeper and I you know, picked up the five seal secrets and red real got. And so that was pretty cool. That was pretty cool. So tell us a little bit about that, you know, your post military career and kind of how you get started in all this, you know? Yeah.

William:

So so this is sort of my story. So I spent 26 years in the seal teams, really 23 of my 26, cuz I took me three years just to get the seal training. And once I got there, I found out it was a lot harder than I thought it was gonna be no big deal. That's what we signed up for. and and I did my time, I retired as a, as a senior chief in E eight in army terms. That was like a. A master Sergeant or a upper Sergeant. I was a first Sergeant basically. And it, it for the, for army folk that might be listening. And and when I retired, I like to say that is the, the, the hardest military mission I've ever been on. So, you know, and I've, and I've been on one or two in my, in my time in the military, just one or two Yeah. And, and so you know, the, the kind of analogy I've been using that, that lately, is that the best way I can kind of describe it is if you've ever seen the movie the advantages where Thanos like snaps his fingers with the glove and the rings and the whatever stones and makes half the world's population disappear. Yep. It was kind of like that, where I had like a, you know, I had a purpose, I had a mission. Yeah. I had a team, I had a badass purpose, a badass mission and a badass team, and then overnight it was gone and it was physio. Yeah. And I was like, where's my, I don't like, I completely lost you. I got some baggage. What I like to call baggage. Yeah. I don't call it PTSD or anything else. I call it baggage, cuz it's from, we all have it. We all get it from all different places. Some of it's occupational hazards, some of it's from, you know, maybe not so awesome relationships. Maybe it's some stuff that happened to us as a kid or how we grew up or whatever. Bobby:

interesting that you say that because that was something I, you know, kind of recently, you know, discovered and started thinking about that. Like, you know, PTSD is not just a military thing that it does actually affect all kinds of people from all walks of life. And now that was one thing I remember when I found that out, you know, I really paused for a second and did some thinking, you know, because trauma is trauma. It doesn't matter how you get it.

William:

Doesn't matter where yeah, we all have it. We all have it from some of it's big trauma. Some of it's microtrauma, it's still trauma. And even that, that microtrauma can turn into big trauma later on because you know, pain is cumulative a little bit of pain over time, over and over and over turns into a lot of pain and or there can be like no real. Pain there, but it's like Phantom pain and it keeps hurting you. So, yeah. So I call it, I call it all baggage and you know, some of it we put in there ourselves and some of it, other people put in there for us and we carried around and we, we never really know how to, to like let it go or put it down. And so when I got out, you know, I pretty much just drank myself to sleep at night. You know, I had all this noise in my head from, from, from, you know, whatever mm-hmm and in order to kind of turn that noise down or doll it out alcohol was my medicine of choice. And, and I knew that wasn't like the right way to, to do it. But that was, that's really all I had at, at, you know, at hand. And I still, you know, I still do some government contract work. I still do, you know, maintain my top secret clearance. So I have to be very careful in what modalities I use to yeah, right. To help myself. So I eventually tried CBD. It's still frowned on upon by the military and, and other things like that. But I don't care because I tried it you know, and, and kind of. My story, if you will, is I tried it. I didn't notice anything really when I was taking it. Not really anything at all, but what I noticed when I finished it is, is, you know, over time, you know, water boils at 212 degrees and I was probably living it like 210 degrees. Like I was very close with that boiling point, like on a daily basis. And so it didn't take much to like set me off and like, you know, hit, hit those, those boiling waters. And so it was, yeah, it just on edge. Yeah. Yeah. And like the, like, everything is just like, so like overwhelming. And you wouldn't think like with, you know, some of our backgrounds and some of the things that we've done, you wouldn't think that like little things would like set us over the edge and it's really does God. I remember

Bobby:

when I first and when I first got back from my trip to Afghanistan, I went to block island Rhode Island, just like a little party, you know, island off the coast here. And I remember just going to a, a, they had a little venue there called captain Nicks, maybe. 60 people. And they had a live band playing. I was there with my brother-in-law and I turned to him. I was like, dude, I gotta get outta here. Like I can't do this. It's amazing.

William:

Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Like get me. Yeah. I, I need to leave. Yeah. And so does the

Bento:

military give just kind of way on that? Does the military give you any kind of. Help or training or like, do they prepare you in any way when it's time, when it's time for you to, you know, to go or get discharged or anything like that, or when, you know, when your time's up,

William:

it's so minimal. And I, I actually just had this conversation with someone, not that long ago, a couple weeks ago, you know, there's, there's a process for bringing you into the military. You have the recruiter, you have bootcamp, you have the whole like assimilation. Sure. Become part of the unit, go to your specialty school, go to your units, go to your like, and you, and like you make a whole career out of it, but there's a process for bringing you in there's orientation, in every step, right. E everywhere. And there's a, there's someone there to like mentor you along the way on the way out. There's a one week course that they teach you how to write a resume and maybe do a budget. And I don't really know much else outside of that. Maybe like check on your, get outta or something like that. Yeah. And it was like, well, you have to go to this. It's mandatory. So that's the only. Thing that the military has in place currently to help service members transition to civilian life. Wow. I mean, I was in the military, my entire adult life. So when I transitioned, I was like, I got a plan. I think I know what I'm doing. And it, the second I was gone, like, I was still doing my job returning emails the day before I retired mm-hmm before, like you're no longer in the military. And I was like, oh, I guess you guys need my Blackberry back and, and all this other stuff. So so I was in complete denial about getting out and because it's all I've ever known, it's all I ever wanted to do. And now I'm like, I have to like do something else. And, and I had another, like, I started at another, a company for consulting and what I found is it was a, it was a, it was a, a path that I didn't really like what I was doing because people were like, yeah, we'll, we'll hire, actually. We're not gonna hire you. We don't like consultants, consultants are basically thieves. And so that was the, that was the, the messaging I was getting pretty much like we've had consultants, they got something outta it. They got paid and we got nothing. I was like, I don't feel like you got nothing, but maybe you never know. And so. Some of the companies, they were like, okay, well, we've got this widget. You can sell our widget, but we're not gonna pay you because you're a consultant. You don't work for us. And if you, if you sell a bunch of it, then maybe we'll pay. I might, it doesn't work like that. Yeah. hold on. So, so I, I, I, I was struggling. I was trying to find my way. I, you know, I, I, I did all right in that world. Eventually I, you know, I have, you know, a service disabled veteran owned small business, so I could sell stuff to the, to the government. And so that helped put food on the table, you know, really. But that was not awesome either because it's a race to the bottom. Yeah. Like, and, and there are big companies who will take a loss to put you out of business. Oh yeah. So I was, fortunately I had. Enough connections from my time in the military, like people would give me special pricing in order to like win the bid or at least compete against the bigger players. Sure. So so I was able to like at least survive and then I eventually, you know, did some pretty good contracts in there. I, I snuck in under the table a couple times, so that was good, but I was not happy doing that. It was like, it was a grind that was

Bobby:

it's like constant hustle to pick those up. It was, was peas all day, like,

William:

yeah. And then like the, the system and the other system and like to get paid. Oh, you know? Okay. I just shelled out$250,000 to deliver a product. The process to get paid. It was like three months late. I'm like, bro, my credit cards are on fire over here. I need to like, get those things paid. So eventually you know, I was, I, I, you know, a year after I got out, I was in Virginia and I had lunch with a buddy of mine and, and I was like, and I had heard about CBD and I was like, I think I, I wanna try CBD. So I, I just mentioned it to him and I'm like, maybe after lunch, I'm gonna go see if I can find a CBD shop around Virginia. And he was like you want CBD? I've got some back at the house. He's kind of an Instagram influencer guy. And And so he gave me a bottle and that, so after, so I took it, I didn't really notice anything, but what I noticed is over time is I went from like two 10 to 2 0 5 to 200 to 1 95 to one 90, maybe 180 5. And I got outta that red zone. Right. And so, and I was like, oh, and some of like the aches and pains, you know, 26 years of service, I got, I got some bumps and bruises of course, and some other stuff. And so I, I eventually you know, I like the pains were just not as bad. They're still bad. They still they're still pain. They're just not as sharp. So, and then I stopped taking that CBD cuz I ran out of it and and then I started getting closer to that boiling point and I didn't notice it until I was like, I had like made progress and then I was regressing. I was like, why am I so like irritated all the time? And then I was like, Maybe it was the CBD, maybe it wasn't. I don't know. So I tried a different brand and I had similar results. So CBD had a, had a very beneficial, positive impact on my life. So I'm like, I wanna be part of this industry, like screw the government contracting and the other thing and the like grind race to the bottom, like, right. This is like a, a, like, this is a, a new thing. I wanna be a part of it and I wanna help. Other people like myself. So I met someone in the CBD industry and, at a, at a business conference that the same guy who gave me that first bottle, he was like a keynote speaker. So I got to be his, like his VIP guest. Nice. And so I went there, there was like Q and a stuff. And there was a girl in the CBD industry and she was putting CBD into kinesiology tape. And so I was like, oh, you're like, she was trying to market it because marketing CBD is not easy. It's. If you try to run ads on Facebook or Instagram, they will shut you down. They'll delete your account. I've we really had a, we had

Bento:

a guest on here a little while ago. She has her own CBD company as well. And it is, I try to run, you know, sometimes I run an ad for the podcast and, you know, you put in your keyword and there's nothing in there for cannabis, for CBD, like everything is completely blocked. I'm surprised YouTube. Hasn't taken it down. To be honest with you. I, I just think maybe we

William:

haven't gotten caught yet. it's as long as you, as long as it's educational and not trying to sell, you can do it. There we go. Yeah. So there, there, there are there's ways around it. And then if you're like talking only topical stuff, you know, you can start to run ads on topical stuff, but it's still like hit or miss. I didn't even. Social media. I, I certainly didn't have a Facebook account prior to starting the company. And everyone's like, you need to run ads, you got a company you need to run ads. E-commerce I'm like, okay, run ads, deleted account yeah. Don't you worry? Facebook still took my money. Oh yeah. They still like took every course. There was paper clicks. It would, and there was no account. There was no account out there anymore. And they were still charging you. I'm like, what the hell? And so three Facebook accounts later, I finally figured it out. I'm like, okay, don't run ads, don't boost anything. You can, whatever. Right. So so it's been slow growth. I've hired some, some you know, business coaches to help me like figure it out. And this is actually one of the ways that I market is I get on podcasts. Yeah. And and, and, and kind of talk about it. And some, some podcasts don't wanna talk so much about CBD. But CBD is just part of my story. I got lots of stories. I got lots of messages to, to share. But CBDs, just like a, a part of my, my journey. And if in some podcasts we want to talk a lot about it and others, others, others don't. And so, and so in the last I don't know, 18 months, I've done a, a little over 300 podcast interviews. Wow. Just to like, get the, like, get the word out there. And, and so that's good for you's one of the things that it's, it's a grind, it's a completely different kind of grind. It is. And it's helped me like figure out, figure a lot of myself out. Sure. And so that's really where the get naked mindset came from. So, you know, going back to kind of get naked, that's about taking that ego off, taking that baggage. Yeah. That we carry around off, like take that off instead it in the corner, just like so that you can become a little bit vulnerable, so you can kind of expose yourself and like find the healing that you need. And that's what I really had to do. I had to take my ego off and like, cuz my entire life I've had, like, I don't know, I'm not a small man, but I, I guess I had a little bit of like, I, I, I don't quite. Measure up to the people around me, which is a good thing, because I want people to, like, I wanna always be climbing a mountain. Sure. I don't ever want to be like the big pick fish in a small pond. I wanna be the, the minnow in the ocean where I have room to grow and like dodging sharks and stuff like that.

Bento:

Well, it's a good message too, right. Because I mean, one you're in Navy seal. So I mean right off the bat, you're a badass, right? I mean, we, we don't, we don't release the video on this podcast, but I mean, just looking at you like, God, you mean you, you totally kick my ass. I mean, you're, you're, you're a quintessential man's man and mental health with men really. Isn't something that. They like to talk about, we don't wanna talk about it. It's very, very taboo. Right. So just the fact that like someone like yourself with that background, you know, just with that look and that style can say, Hey, you know, I was a Navy seal and I did these tours and even I was able to kind of bring myself back a step and kind of figure this all out. So it it's really sent a positive message to

Bobby:

a lot of people. Yeah. And especially in the veteran community too, I mean, now I saw this, this website, you know, what is it? 20, 22 veterans a day, their lives right there. Yeah. It's too many. And, and so, yeah, so I mean, I definitely you know, Commend you for, for that, keeping that going even after your service is already over. So I mean, the message is terrific and that's why we, you know, for us, you know, we were really excited to, to get you on and, and talk about your company and, and kind of, you know, what you've been doing in the CBD space and what kind of products you have out there, you know, because for us, we want, you know, we wanna help you get that message out there. Yeah, I appreciate it. And not only that you know, big for us was to talk to you about the the, you know, five seal secrets there. Yeah. So we, so we can get into those as well. Yeah. Really it's, you know, just because, you know, CBD was a modality that helped me, it helped me turn down the noise in my head. Yeah. So I could have more positive self-talk and, and get out there and, and, and, and, and start, you know, changing lives and impacting lives. And it's funny you

that too. I've heard that before about this C B D actually, you know, It's not so much when you start taking it that you feel the effect it's when you stop. Yeah. Because then you realize the benefits that it was giving you because it is subtle. It is, is subtle. It's when

Bento:

feel that high immediately. Yeah. So many people like they're like, they, they want, they want like, whatever, like Xanax, I need to, like, I need the, right now. Yeah. That instant gratification. Right. And, and so that's why people turn the drinking. Right. I mean, yeah, that, that's why I turned to it. Right. It's the quickest. And so, and it was, you know, over time it's, it's like, I noticed it over time. It wasn't like right away. And you know, one of the best quotes that I heard about CBD was from Joe Rogan and I don't sponsor his podcast, but he's, you know, he's got pretty big numbers. Right. And he's got a really big CBD company that sponsors him. And he was like, I didn't even realize I had anxiety until I started taking CBD. And then I stopped taking it. And I was like, why am I so stressed out? Yeah, yeah. And right. And you know, I have, I have like, so I have like uh, I have uh, a CBD energy drink. That you would think that, that that's kind of an oxymoron and I love have a lot of athletes and, and people who take it kind of in the CrossFit world. And, and many of them got back to me and they were like, I couldn't re recognize, I couldn't realize why I was so like, Anxious all of a sudden, like, why was I like on edge? And like, they, you know, this is like the, the, like that, that, how do you boil a frog one degree at a time? Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. And it was like, that's the world that we live in. And then they got some relief from like, like the energy drink has like a, just a small 25 or 12 and a half to 15 milligrams of CBD. It's not a lot, but it was just enough that like help them. And maybe they didn't notice it right away when they were taking it. But when they like ran out and they didn't reorder, they were like, ha, Hey, this is like, I, I couldn't figure out why I was so anxious all the time. Like I was pissed off about stuff and just like, and then I realized I ran out of CBD energy drink and like worked more. And, and so those were like great testimonies to get back. Oh, I got from, you know, on, on stuff like that. Like people, we don't even know like how like that the water that we're sitting in is boiling until we get outta it. And then we like, and then we get back in it. We're like, oh my God, it's so hot

Bobby:

in here. Yeah. Why'd I do this. Yeah. Talk to me a little bit more about the the CBD energy drink. Right. So how does that, you know, cause I, I think of CBD as you know, that relaxant. Sure. And then an energy drink, like, do you find that if you just take C B, D in edible form or, you know topical or something like that, do you find a difference versus a drink with caffeine? Like is one more, you know, more impactful than the other. I,

William:

I would say everyone is different and how CBD works for them, you know? So the way that CBD works and I'm gonna get a little nerdy on, on scientists. Let's do. Yeah, let's do it. Love it. I'm I'm a, I'm just an old, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a dumb frog man, but I, I did, I did study up on some of this stuff, so yeah. So are we do it every Mamal. Has what's called an endocannabinoid system. Mm-hmm, named after cannabis. And here's how we discovered it in the early nineties, you know, scientists were like looking into medical marijuana and like the benefits of it. They were looking at THC specifically mm-hmm like, what's what is THC doing for the body? And they didn't realize that the, the, the cannabis plant had all these other minor cannabis noise and terpenes, terpenes are essential oils in the plant. So what they did is they took a, a THC molecule and they put a radioactive isotope on it. I don't even know really know what those words mean, molecule and isotope, but we're gonna go with it. There's really small, small particles. That's what I know. That sounds

Bento:

right to me,

William:

man. and they put it in the human body to see like, THC is doing. And so they followed it. They, because it was radioactive, they were able to like do an MRI and like track what it's doing and where it's been. And through that experiment, they found this entire neuroreceptor system that's in the body. That's connected to every other system in the body. It's connected to your, your central nervous system, your respiratory system, your immune system, your digestive system, your endocrine system, it's connected to every system in the body. And what they found is the, the body also has endogenous cannabinoids. Mm-hmm. So CBD is a cannabinoid CBD GTC. They're all cannabinoids, but we make endogenous cannabinoids naturally to feed this endo cannabinoid system. And the cool thing about the endocannabinoid system is if one system is out of balance, it actually brings all the other systems out of balance. Mm. And so. The tho those, so you, you make two endogenous cannabinoids. One is anandamide, which is also known as the bliss molecule that helps with the up regulation of serotonin and things like that. Right? Like the runners high, if you will. Yeah. The other one is two ag, no idea what it does, but it, other than feed the endocannabinoid system and why CBD seems to be like this panacea that like cures everything and whatever CBD doesn't do any of that, it does reduce chronic inflammation. It does help reduce, you know, anxiety and stress and it, he helps with pain, some kinds of pain relief. But the big thing that it does. Feeds that endo cannabinoid system, it's like a, like a super multivitamin, like you get a cold or whatever, you take a bunch of vitamin C to like, so CBD works kind of like that. Right? It's it, it feeds that endocannabinoid system. It brings it back into homeostasis, back into balance balance. And when the, when the endocannabinoid system comes back into balance, it pulls the other system back where they belong. Ah, and so the body starts healing itself. That's the magic of CBD. That's the kind of the BA you know why it's like, why it seems like everyone's like, oh, it cured my cancer and my Lyme disease. It didn't didn't cure anything.

Bobby:

No. Oh, right. It's just, it's just your body

work

William:

a little, a little different. Makes your body work the way it's supposed to, right? Yeah. Yeah. And so that, that's kind of the, the cool part about CBD and it helps root stress and anxiety and, and some pain relief, chronic pain and, and and things like that. It helps, I've seen the videos of the,

Bento:

The experiments they did on the endocannabinoid systems where they. Introduce THC and CBD to them. And you can actually see them like explode and light up because that's the, the

William:

response. No, no, I have to look that up.

Bento:

Yeah. The response that the system is getting from feeding it, this, you know, CBD and THC, it was incredible. It was

William:

so cool to watch. Definitely gonna look that up, but was it, and it's interesting, like CBD and THC, they're kind of antithesis of one another, right? So, so like THC gives you that high and, and I, I do have zero problem with THC. I think it should be legal and whatever, although I don't use it. I still think it should be legal. And like, it definitely doesn't, it's gotta damage than alcohol.

Bobby:

Yeah. I was saying it's gotta be better for people than alcohol and opiate opiates. You know, they give all these people, these pain pills and stuff. It's crazy.

William:

Yeah. Oh my God. Yeah. Crazy. So, but you know, so it's TC, it goes in, it binds to these, to the endo system, to the CB one receptors in the brain and it gives you that euphoric feeling. So if you want to, like, you have a really bad trip and you wanna come back down, you can take a bunch of CBD C. The CBD will go in. It will decouple that THC molecule from that, from the CBDB one receptors and kind of block it really, and then help bring it back down off the high. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. That's great. It doesn't, it doesn't actually like bind like the THC does. It just creates a barrier around to a protective barrier around that, that receptor next time someone's freaking

Bento:

yeah, that's really crazy. I never knew that. That's cool. Yeah. I

Bento:

didn't know that either. What, so what do you recommend for a daily dose and milligrams of

William:

CBD? I, it, it depends on the person. It depends on symptoms. It, you know, like me, I take, I take a lot. CBDs expensive. I, but I do own a company. I have a lot of money invested in the company, like a lot of money invested in the company. Yeah. Right. So I, you know, I, I, I can take, you know, more, but like I said, like some people will take a, a 10 milligram gummy or, you know, the CBD energy drink and have like really good effects, like the better sleep from an energy drink. You know, I had someone, this is not medical advice. I'm not making any medical claims. No, no, we

Bobby:

absolutely will never make any medical advice on this show ever. It's called teach two dumb

dudes but I had you know, there are a couple gyms that sell my products and there's a jujitsu gym in, in in Utah. Oh, cool. And, and The one of the, one of the students bought a bunch of energy drinks and gave him to his wife and she was able to get off her Adderall using the CBD energy drinks. She was like, I have the, the, the energy and focus I need to get through the day. And I don't have that jittery or the crash at the end of the day. Wow. And I was like, that's awesome. Right? Like, that's like, that's the coolest thing I've ever heard. I'm again, I am not making that claim. I'm not saying it will work for anyone else, but it worked for her. So that was, that was just cool feedback

Bobby:

That's cool. So how much, how much do you take a day milligrams if you don't mind disclosing?

William:

I, you know, I'll take anywhere from. 25 to 300 milligrams. Hmm. See, that's good. I mean, it depends on, it depends on the day, you know, sometimes, sometimes I just forget. Right, But I take, so I have like a sleep formula that has CBD CBN and, and, and some melatonin in it. The CBN is a, is the Mo the sedated molecule in the hemp implant. So you're like, whatever you. So, so what I do, this is what I do is I take two, one is not quite enough for me, but I take two of those the sleep formula about an hour before I'm ready to go to bed and then I'll go and I'll hit that tired point. And then I'll try to push through it like an idiot. And I'll just keep pushing. I keep pushing, but I never get that second wind. Sure. And so eventually I'm like, okay, you win, quit. Like it's time to go to bed. Yeah, exactly. So that's, that's like, you know, that's. That's almost a non like if I run out of my own product at, at home, I'm like, oh my God, oh, plan, dude. And, and it was like her performance at school, like. Changed dramatically. Like she, like, it was okay that she had to stay late working on the test. She wasn't. So, you know, one, guy's got a company and he is got a CBD for mental focus. He's got a CBD for muscle pain, sleep for muscle. I mean, what's the real difference in those types of products.

William:

CBD is like CBD is CBD. Well, right. Let me re hold on. Let me bef let me qualify that really quickly. Yeah. Yeah. Hold on. Okay. So there's not all CBD is the same. Mm-hmm however, the molecule CBD is what's doing the heavy lifting and a lot of it mm-hmm you know, I have a, I have a lotion, it's a CBD lotion and it has some, some menthol in it. Menthol is, has been proven scientifically to reduce pain. So I can't like legally, I could say that it's a pain, but I don't because I don't compliance is a whole big pain. Yeah, sure. Yeah. Let's let's not go down that road. Don't fight that battle. Yeah. Yeah. I, I don't need any letter from the FDA saying you're made false claims or whatever. I just like, it's a muscle. Like, it works amazing for me. It works great for me, but CBD is doing the heavy lifting, but let's just kind of like talk about CBD and quality really quickly. Yeah. There's like, it's still a brand new industry. Like it CBD became legal. I think it was December 20th, 2018. I retired, like, it was not legal when I got outta the military. I retired in July 31st, 2018. So I, but I didn't know that I didn't know that until I started Digg into the industry. There's three primary kinds of CBD or categories of CBD. You have a, a full spectrum CBD, right? I have one product that's full spectrum full spectrum. It has all the minor cannabinoids and terpenes of the hemp plant. That's extracted from, from the bud of the plant. Mm-hmm Then there's a CBD isolate where you get rid of all that other good stuff that's in there. Other minor cannibal, inter terpenes, and you isolate that one molecule CBD and it is just a white powder at the end of the day. And it's got, you know, it, it does what CBD does. But you're missing out on all the other good stuff that, that comes from those minor cannabinoids and terpenes. Got it. And then you have a broad spectrum. 98% of the products I carry are broad spectrum specifically, because there are so many people that are concerned about drug testing and things like that. Okay. That they, and that, that molecule T see, I mean, I am a child of Nancy Reagan's war on drugs. Just say no. Oh yeah, this is drugs. Just remain on the brand drug.

what it didn't work so, so there, and you know, again, there's a ton of people out there that are concerned about drug testing and things like that. Sure. I still maintain my top secret clearance. I still do some government contract work. I still get drug tested. I have no issue. Even when I use a full spectrum product, I don't have any issues, but I carry primarily broad spectrum because people have those concerns. And so sure. You know, but, but the quality of product that's out there in the market is there's a big difference. There's a huge disparity of, you know, there's like the biggest names out there. The quality that we carry is as good or better than their quality. And I say that specifically, because we test beyond where they test, you know, they may like get the oil in and they'll like, you know, do a third party lab testing to make sure that there's no like toxins or heavy metals or, or pesticides or anything like that from these organic plants, sure. And, and then they'll create the product and then they'll sell it. Well, they won't test it after they run it through their manufacturing process. We tested the, the oil and we also test the end product to make sure there was no contamination, nothing weird happened somewhere along the way to make sure that what you're putting in your body is exactly what we are saying. what's to deal with that that's, that's that's marketing. That's good marketing. So to, so that is. Companies that want to, that they, they don't wanna go the ex. So, so again, I, I sell primarily a broad spectrum product, so we still maintain all the minor, most of the minor cannabinoids and terpenes from the hemp plant. But we remove that molecule THC. Now you lose some other minor cannabinoids in that process. I would say so I, I would say that really to get the most bang for your buck, a full spectrum product. The most bang for your bro. So a company in Vermont. They have this thing and they're, they want to do within the next five years, get it down to six bucks a bottle. They're saying that CBD should be as affordable as Tylenol. And I totally agree with that. You know, it's not, it's an easy plant to grow. I mean, they call it weed for a reason. Like it grows anywhere.

And so now she kind of screwed herself because now every day that I would take her to school or we go. Just me and her in the, in the truck, let's go, gotta do it go. Yeah. And then we'll like, we'll kind of trade it off. Like, she'll say it first. And then and then I'll say it, or I might say like the poor way to face a life. And then her job is to face it with a sear. And, and so a buddy of mine called me and we talked about, you know, some of his things that he was going through at work and like in his personal life. And like he was having some issues with his CEO, they just got a bunch of like venture capital money and, and I'm like, okay, let's look at like how to like kind of how to attack this and like, you know, different strategies. And, and I was like, and, and, and. You know, things with his kids and all this other stuff. Yeah. Or I see. Or I see organizations where you have like a really great salesperson, like top sales rep in the, whatever, move them up to the management. That person has no idea how to manage people. Right. They're really good at sales. Why would you like leave them? Why would you, why would you cut their salary? Right? Why would you cut their pay? Like they're making more money in sales than they are gonna be in this, but you're like, oh, they're, they're really like, they could teach other people how to do it. They, maybe they're not a good teacher. They're just a good, closer, like, let them go and sell and make a bazillion dollars. Let them pay for the, you know, pay your salary and the company and let every, like, let them go and do their greatness. Exactly. Like don't shove them into a leadership position that they may or may not want. Right. Like if they want, if they want to go up and, and be. In leadership positions, then help groom them to put them in, put them in those positions. Don't just like shove them in there. Cuz they're a good salesperson, right? Yeah. I feel like,

Bobby:

I feel like that leadership training doesn't come until you're already the leader. Right. Right. And even when you do get it, it's like that, oh, take this three hour course online that you have do once a year,

William:

you know right. Like this is, this is leadership 1 0 1. Yeah. What? I've got a leadership course too. Like hire me and let me help. Yeah. Cause I have, I have plenty of failures in, in leadership. Plenty. I have some successes, but plenty of failures. And so that, you know, you know, that kind of accepts failure is like, like I talk about like it's failure is like the foundation of the success that I've had in my life. I had to fail over and over and over. Oh that's how you do it. Gotcha. Now I know how to right. Yeah, exactly. The light. No kidding.
