Bobby:

Welcome back to another episode of teach two dumb dudes as always I'm joined by bento. And this week we will, we speak with Jovan and Javier from the final whistle football podcast, Jovan and Javier were super cool, super fun. They have a shit ton of knowledge and all things. English, premier league and uh, all things football really. But as English, premier league fans, we pretty much focused on that. We went through who we think is gonna finish in the top for the season. We just talked through some of the big clubs in the league. Yeah, it was dope. They were fun. They were this one's for us.

Bento:

And don't forget to check us out on social media. And our website website is www.teachtwodumbdudes.com. That's teach the number two dumb dudes.com. You can hit us up and Bobby out on Twitter at teach two dumb dudes. That's teach the number two dumb dudes, and also give us a follow on YouTube. Teach two dumb dudes so which one's a Chelsea fan? Hmm. Devon is, oh, Devon's a Chelsea guy. All right.

Javier:

Yeah. And I'm arsenal. Oh,

Bento:

would you laugh? Would you laugh? You know, it's just, it's funny. I, like Rob and I are, Chelsea Liverpool fans, so yeah. Mm-hmm, we, you know, we, we really became friends when we met each other because of football. Yeah. But I couldn't imagine like, if Rob was an arsenal fan or if I were a man, you fan, I don't think we probably would've became friends. No. Yeah. That's cool that you and J are friends and it's just like a bitter rivalry. Yeah.

Javier:

Chelsea an arsenal. But, but I mean, at least it's. Well, I don't like money United fans though, but, uh, yeah, I don't really like money United fans, but uh, let's not

Bobby:

get into

Bento:

it, but

Bobby:

yeah, man, man, United, I mean the more and more people I meet, you know, who are fans with English, premier league. It's very funny. Every time I run into a Manchester United fan and I tell 'em, I'm a Liverpool fan. You immediately, you get that reaction though. It's like, oh, Liverpool, no. Yeah. Like, you know, Hey, have a good day. I'm walking over here. Yeah. And

Bento:

if they don't give you that reaction, you know that they're not really into it. Really. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Justine want to, yeah, we can hear here. Okay. I'm here now. I'm finally here. Yeah. It's all good. It's good. Are you and Jamaica as. No, I'm in us. I'm in Jersey. Oh, Jersey. All right. All right. Mm-hmm that explains Yankees. Yeah. I'm from, I'm from Jamaica, so. Oh, cool. Cool. Mm-hmm

Bobby:

you must be, so you must be dying to get back home then

Javon:

It depends on how you look at it. Cuz I, I, I looked at it as an opportunity to work at at certain companies and get certain opportunities that I've only could only dream about and seen like movies mm-hmm so to get these opportunities and actually execute a game plan that, or I set for myself, like when I get here about get, finish my college degree or get some from a certification, go work for a big tech company. And that's what I did.

Bento:

Awesome. Good for you. I know.

Javon:

Good for, you know, I started on podcast doing something I, with something I'm completely obsessed

Bobby:

with, so

Bento:

yeah. Right. That's what do you, uh, what are you do in the tech field?

Javon:

I'm a server engineer. I

Bento:

work at con vault. Oh, cool. Yeah. I work in tech myself. I'm a QA engineer for software. Oh, nice. Nice, nice. Yeah. Yeah. The tech industry and in this country, man, that's where it's at. That's yeah. Good money, good benefits. They, they love all that unlimited time off and all that stuff, you know that alone.

Javon:

Yeah. We, we get unlimited time, uh, yeah. Is for my company it's depending, but technically it's, it, it is unlimited, but because we have to support such high level customers like Nike, Google, and, and those type of customers. Sure. It's kind of hard to get,

Bobby:

but I can

Bento:

speak on other people.

Bobby:

nice. Nice, good. Feel good. Feel that's awesome. Well, again, guys, thank, you know, thank you so much for taking time to join us. We really appreciate you guys coming on. And of course, you know, just to extend right off the rip for your time, we would be more than happy to do an episode on your podcast as well. You know what I mean, if you're looking for more content, we're more than happy to, you know, talk about whatever. For us, just like you guys, we are huge soccer fans. We attempted to do a soccer podcast ourselves. But it, for our lifestyles, it just didn't work. And then, then that's how we kind of evolved and to teach two dumb dudes, uh, where we just kind of bring on anybody and everybody who's got an interesting story or an expert in something. Yeah. To, you know, just. Talk to us about whatever. And so we always look at these episodes about football though, as like, these are for us.

Bento:

you know what I mean?

Bobby:

And, and so we're super, super happy that you guys were, uh, you know, uh, you know, able to join us. And, and so thank you for that most welcome. Most welcome. Yeah. So tell us, so tell us about your podcast and, and what you guys are focused on. So we looked around too, and we saw you guys had a connection to the Singapore leagues as well. Yeah, we okay.

Bento:

Our, I, I let have you take over

Javier:

okay. The final whistle, it deals with management off the field as well. Cause we looked at, you know, peers lifestyle. And so, uh, let's say career wise did certain football players and mostly every major league. So Europe, so let's say England, uh, premier league championship, Germany bonus league bonus league of two as well. Wow. We looked at, we looked at Portugal a few times as well. Uh, Syria. Not really Syria B, but you know, Syria hall. Yeah. We looked at premier league in Argentina also in know Colibri, which is atcha league in south America. Yeah. We look at Kaka KA as well. So that's international football wise as well. Uh, we look at combat ball. We looked at almost every single thing

Bento:

we covered. Wow. Any MLS? Yeah. Yeah, definitely. MLS. We started

Javier:

doing, we started doing MLS. All of the season was Indian, but we covered MLS with transfer. We fail going there, DC LA well,

Bento:

wow. That's incredible. So God, so when we wanted to start a soccer podcast, right? yeah. Our, this just sounds amazing to me cuz like our problem was all right. Yeah. We wanted to cover everything, but my God, there's so much that happens and there's so many things to cover every day. Right. We, we have found that we would find that we record an episode. It's like, right, well we gotta edit it quick. So I would take maybe three days to edit by the time the three days passed, the news we covered on Monday was already obsolete. I can

Javier:

tell you for a fact that when I are doing episodes. It is a whole lot. And we can talk about one topic for so long that we have to, you know, CEO, let's just stop and just move on,

Bento:

force yourself to stop. Right. It's so hard though.

Bobby:

Cause as soon as you get rolling into something and you don't realize like, oh shit, we just spent 15

Bento:

minutes on this 15 minutes or something that nobody's gonna listen to. Yeah.

Bobby:

Right. Nobody's probably gonna care about

Javon:

Yeah. Like, well, when I, uh, decided to create this podcast, I've been talking, I was talking about it for years. And then Javier and I have been friends for years. But we never really got into it. And then one day I'm like, yo, are you free Sunday? It's like, yeah, we're starting a podcast Sunday. It's what do you mean no content? I'm like, listen, we'll have our session on Friday. We'll do content creation. We'll butcher something in the works for the logo and. Boy, one of us will pick, we spent hours looking for the, that theme song, that theme music, that

Bento:

on zoom,

Javier:

we were on zoom for hours looking for that theme song. Thought we went through so many early clips that I, when I look at my download, like he S so much, but it takes, it takes time. It takes, you know, lot of effort to put these things together. Yeah. When it's something you love, it's like it, it's not even

Javon:

working at that point. yeah,

Javier:

yeah, yeah. You under you understand? Yeah.

Bento:

We took so long to get that music too, but what killed it for us was the name, my God, like every single possible name for a soccer pocket, as you can think of, has it already been taken three or four times? To be honest, it's so

Javier:

hard. I'm sorry. But to be honest, Joon came up with a name because I am not good at names, but he just stopped him and said, you know what?

Javon:

Yeah. Cause I was like, cause, cause I was thinking like, okay, okay. It has to be definitely has to be football related. Sure. Right. That's not overcomplicated. Yeah. What's the last thing you hear at the end of every FIFA match and that's the final whistle. There

Bento:

we go. Cause we had, we had a spreadsheet with probably 50, 60 names and the final whistle wasn't on there. So that's, we were like, we want do like straight red, you know, like all these cool names, but obviously they were already taken by somebody else. So many, so many, so many of them. Yeah. Awesome.

Bobby:

With all that content, you guys that you guys are putting out, you guys must devote a ridiculous amount of time to this every week. No, I

Bento:

actually.

Javon:

I'll actually. But before, just before I answer, uh, that, that point when we created this podcast, we aimed as Javier mentioned earlier, we aimed to cover everything. And it's really hard not to be biased in terms of content creation. All you have to do is check our, uh, FPL group chat. And that's where I look at did come from. I'm not even it's, it's not like it's not like we step out and say, okay, yeah, it's gonna find something to go for this week. No, just go through the group group chat, the main topics, main transfers, and then. In that I think we have like five to eight people in that group chat. Yeah. Mm-hmm about that. Yeah. The content and the passion and the arguments and the debates sparks. What we're gonna talk about next.

Bento:

Yeah. That's, that's a great idea.

Javon:

Exactly. And then that just falls in line with everything else. Wow. In terms of current

Bobby:

events. So who's in that group with you, just a bunch of friends or, uh, yes. There's listeners or

Bento:

yeah. Friends and listeners

Javier:

as well that we actually in, so we talk, support us. We talk every single day. Like there's always something new coming up and we, you know, we have our argument and, you know, we always try to put facts and figures together and say, yo, this is my argument. You put four years. And I mean, it's just,

Javon:

it's mostly me. And Heer though. Cause we're like the fat guys we're like,

Bento:

yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. They

Javier:

have the, the figures. And so, but J I have

Bobby:

vote put forward and

Javier:

you know, our arguments are solid. You understand what I mean? And you know, like, Although we, we love the sport so much. We dive way too deep into it. That, that much to actually know about like, like this person, because just, oh yeah, go ahead.

Javon:

No, no, just I remember yeah, when we were getting a feedback and I think episode eight, uh, we got a feedback where people says one of our listeners saying for someone that doesn't do this professionally, we know way too much. yeah,

Javier:

I can, I can tell you. It's like when, okay. I read a whole lot because my, I dare degree in history. So, you know, I read like every single day masters as well. So I read a whole lot of football news every single day. I read the athletic, you know, ESPN. I read so much that I even dive into like who's in the management at these certain football teams. You know, my favorite team is arsenal. So I know from top to bottom of who's in the club and. It makes me to, it makes, it allows me to see how the football club is run and how certain people are and how, why these things happen on the field and off field as well. Mm-hmm if you imagine a banging and all the situation, I know what happened behind the scenes that not much people know they have the function. And so like that, but just today, I saw ed, Andrew saying that you have players in the club. 26 are older, high wages live in London. It's hard to move them on. Oh yeah. Really? To move them on, especially from city like London. Mm-hmm yeah. Beautiful

Bento:

city is really difficult.

Bobby:

Yeah. Nobody nobody's really London. The new

Bento:

castle.

Javon:

Exactly, exactly. Really nice store.

Bento:

Exactly. We, we just talk about that. I said, I was telling Bobby, I said, you know, I said, alls you heard about was Newcastle got bought. They gotta bring all these players, spent all this money. I was like, you haven't seen anything from, and he's just like, dude, nobody wants to live there. it's like, nobody wants to play for Newcastle. That's such a good point. Yeah. That is true.

Bobby:

The history of Newcastle is just not enough. Is know what

Bento:

I mean. If this had happened, if this had happened

Bobby:

10 years ago, maybe there'd be enough of that still hanging on. But the last 10 years of disappointment, like it's gone now, unfortunately for

Javon:

the last 20 years of the premier league, Newcastle has, has always been like a mid table team, right. In the early nineties. There were a powerhouse in football. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. Don't get taste. New cast. New castle was a big, was a big

Javier:

Newcastle Blackburn rule

Bobby:

robot. Yeah. Did all. Yeah. Yeah. But no,

Javon:

they've been so medioc. Mediocre in the premier league, uh, for so long. Right. It's gonna take a while to build that or to build that culture. Cause what, what they can't do is to say, okay, we got, we have money now let's go back to all days. No, it's a complete rebuild. You have to exactly. This is, it's a brand new club. That's trying to make

Bento:

a statement. Right. You can always tell the teams in the EPL that used to be awesome because they all have that really nice stadium. Right? Like Sunland St. James name, James. Yeah. All those teams are like, wow. Like I bet you, they used to be really good back in the day but then you got teams like old them, that seat, you know, 7,000 people on a good day. And he was like, all they've never been good. So what about you two? So I, you know, arsenal, Chelsea guy, you guys said you're really good friends, obviously. Tell us a little bit about like how you guys became friends and why did you both choose the teams that you chose?

Javier:

What's interested enough is that was in Jamaica, but okay. Was in Jamaica for, you know, he, he, he was here, but I was friends with him on social media for a really long time, but I did not know who he was in person. Ah, we actually met, like met, met, met was like let's say last year, last year, but

Javon:

oh no, no, no. We met that, but last year we met at MI Miguel's birthday party party once

Javier:

one time. Yes. Once, once. Okay. One time. I that's when I got the social media. Yeah. Oh yeah. That was when he got it, but I was really communicating as much people, you know, social medias bit, but

Bobby:

yeah. Yeah.

Javier:

But we, we met on top fully, just, you know, just last year about football X, Y, and Z. And like, it just kickstart from right there without every single day in the group. And like he mentioned that he wanted to start a podcast about football and you know how to put this thing out, marketed promote football around the world saying, okay, look, this is not just a sports for life. I mean, in Jamaica context, you know, we're from Jamaica that keeping in Jamaica love football. So why I just make a podcast for people to listen. I mean, listen, when they don't get to watch a football game, they can listen to a podcast. What happened over the weekend? Mm-hmm really episodes every Sunday, you know? And like, you can watch it. You can't listen to it Sunday night, uh, morning, morning we are going to work. And so, so I mean, does tapping into that market alone, it allowed us, you know, see the missing link in, in the society that people love football, but they cannot

Bobby:

watch it all the time. No, you can't. Yeah. Yeah. Why

Javier:

that makes lucky for them to listen on the way to work? Yeah. That's only reason why it's released on us Sunday night and you know, Monday morning going to work at, from then got a lot of support and it has, it has been going good so far. That's

Bento:

awesome. Yeah. So how did you get into Arsal? Okay. Arsenal?

Javier:

My granddad actually support arsenal and I, okay. Let's say it's a family thing. So my granddad support it's it obviously came onto me. I had, I had no choice. I was the only team I know WGA was WGA was, was one of that manager I know for my entire life. And I mean, growing up until 2006, when we lost the champion league final, that was a heartbreak, but I didn't stop supporting Arsal from there, escorted them until their team 2013 when they, you know, the won and, you know, O the Sanchez and as well, Zo Ramsey. And I, I mean, I just, I just kept on supporting the club ever since. And it's like, no matter how arsenal rules win X, Y, and Z, it's local, but I love, and it's just that it's someone where I feel not where I feel, but where I know I belong with. And I wouldn't really see myself anywhere else, to be honest. Is this one of my favorite clubs,

Bento:

not even on a winning team, you don't see yourself mean I mean, sorry, they're making the right strides. They're job in there. I mean, I gave him credit, man. I saw that preseason game Saturday night and uh, I mean, you know,

Javon:

we shall not discuss that, that

Bento:

preseason doesn't mean anything. But yeah, we're gonna talk about that. Seeing Miguel LAA come in and like, they, you know, they did what top six teams don't do. They gave him time pine. Yeah. They could have easily fired him very early, but they gave him time and yeah, man, like they look good. They look really good. Yeah.

Javier:

This point that as well. I'm sorry, go ahead.

Javon:

No, just making a small point. Ja Jesus. I watched him in that preseason game. He's everything I wanted him to be like, I hate arsenal with a passion, but I'm a huge Brazil fan.

Bobby:

Like yeah. Yeah. I've always been a huge fan of Gabriel old

Bento:

JJ too. I was so mad that Chelsea passed him over this transfer window. We could have gotten him too. I know, but like,

Javier:

it's the Arsal right now. Well, as he said that not giving a manager enough time, uh, we fire unit Emory and well, I do went to the board and say, we need a change. We need a manager who has a clear vision ahead who can build a squad compete and, you know, have a plan, a five year plan to push arsenal where they need to be and what EDU has done. I mean, he got a lot of criticism for, you know paying off players, contract William w Louis. And so I can go for free, no money, but he said that he had no other choice and bringing in he's young. He's extremely young manager. He's still learning along the way already. He has, he has a vision of what he wants to do. He brings certain players, staff as well. You know, Albert Berg, Steve, Steve row, Miguel Manola as well assistant for, she's also young as well. Carlos quest as well. He's around 25 or 26,

Bobby:

I believe. I think it's great too. He came from the Ry, you know what I mean? Which, which obviously, you know, so many years under him. Definitely. Yeah. He got a

Javier:

lot of means something. Yeah. Yeah. And you know, people are calling architect to be sat, but I started as like, he's not what to be suck and what no happened. They gave him a new contract they give a new contract. So Ursula Arsal owners

Bento:

has been a really

Javier:

controversial board for the past two years. Born background case since 2007 mm-hmm and you fully bought a club in 2018. And since then the club really changed in terms of spending and who's been hired and not yeah, yeah. Yeah. They learn from their mistakes and has seen it there. Back in right now, which I love to see.

Bento:

Yeah. Mm, nice. So let's switch it over to the, the better team. Just kidding. uh, Joon. How did, how did you get into Chelsea?

Javon:

How did I get into Chelsea? Well, I'm, I'm, I'm just going to be honest here I've much like have here. I grew up in a footballing family, but my father huge, huge arsenal fan. My brother is a huge Manchester United fan, cuz I guess. Wow. That's the era. They were introduced where the two teams were at the prime. That makes sense. Me. I fell in love with Chelsea. Ever since I was born that, like I could have followed the pattern and I following my father and my brother, but what got me was when we lost in that champion league seven final against Barcelona, where, where I forgot it was, was it cold? It was yelling at a referee that that's a, that's a high running, running down the ref. And then Chelsea got to, I think, two champions in finals before we actually won that final in 2012 versus Byron Munich. My God, that was incredible. That, that I, that was the first time at sport has ever made me cry. Like mm-hmm, when, when drug bus scored. Because you were, if, if you look at the context of that season, which is what blows my mind, we had no business being into the fire. None, none at all play againsts at home

Bento:

at arena

Javon:

form Robin,

Javier:

a young mother step

Javon:

young. It, it was absolutely crazy.

Bento:

Yeah. Huge upset.

Javon:

And that made me kinda like the team, but what really made me feel in love with the team was Oscar and Barbara. I love Chelsea fans, real Chelsea fans, real fans who know that, that he was the perfect midfielder for me. And I also played that position as well. And it's solely because of him and Kaka, of course, mm-hmm, Watching him in a 2014 world cup. And really, because I believe that everyone has a connection to this sport to one way or another man came in a 2014 world cup where it was an unbreakable bond. After that world cup. Yes. Person lost everyone. But my emotions, everything, I, this is real. This is what real love is So I fast track Oscar. Oh, he plays for my favorite team. This could get interesting. We sang haard I think the season before had the 20 13, 14 season sang haard love whole haard. Just dominating when dominating league in

Bento:

terms of just getting the shit kicked out of everything. Oh yeah. He kept getting up and going like, God, he was so

Javon:

good. And the coldest part about that is he just get up, brush his nose off

Bento:

and walk away. Right. He never dove, you know, he'd always hold the balls.

Bobby:

Oh yeah. His heart never dove. Give me a no way big

Javon:

please. And our players dive, but he wasn't the type player to purposely do it, you know, unless he can see

Bobby:

he's done it plenty. Just like everybody else. Many times, especially rabbis will especially cause the big thing, the big thing for Hasard was he went so many years getting a crap kicked out of him that he reached a point where he knew he was like, if I don't go down, it's never gonna happen. I'm never gonna get called. So then he just started going down all time towards the end, right before he left for. Yeah. But if

Javon:

you notice the times when he did it, he actually it's actually productive. Because he got free kicks, he got penalties. So you can't knock it.

Bobby:

I say the same thing about Saudi mane, but there's no doubt that he

Bento:

dives that, that speaking of diving, did you guys see the video of Namar diving during a preseason game? Yeah. Yeah. His commitment to the dive is even our preseason Marvel. He's a good actor, you know? Yeah.

Bobby:

Right, right. He did have lines in that one movie. He's gonna get some more, I bet. Yeah. Yeah.

Bento:

Gotta see

Javier:

Marvel and DC won actors. Right. I know. Yeah. Right. Exactly.

Bento:

Exactly. He can be

Bobby:

the next black Panther or something.

Bento:

Football superhero.

Bobby:

Yeah. Oh, be great. That'd be great.

Javier:

Mm. Yeah. But to talk

Bobby:

to, so yeah, guys, I, I became a Liverpool fan, right. So I was in the service guy who would've been 2007 and I was living in Korea at the time where I was stationed down in South Korea. Uh, and so. We had the opportunity to watch English, premier league games that were on TV all time in Korea. And so we were, you know, gambling on sports, which is legal in Korea. I love that place. It's so much on

Javon:

there, but it's legal.

Bobby:

It's it's legal. Uh, the big thing for, for me was, you know, I had to pick a club that I could watch cause we could only get the top division where we were mm-hmm mm-hmm And so my family is from Preston north end, which is just Northern Liverpool. And so then it became, okay, do I choose Liverpool or Everton?

Bento:

and then so someone

Javon:

from side, right. You never

Bento:

gonna choose

Bobby:

and then, so then it became, alright, like Everton they've been in the law, you know, in the top flight, the longest that of anybody. And, you know, for, for me, it came down to players and I chose Stephen Gerard play my position war, my number when I was a kid playing at the time I was playing, I was playing for the army and I was wearing number number eight at the time. And so I said, all right,

Bento:

I like, you were just a quick thought away of having a much worse.

Bobby:

No, uh, That's what I mean, this was, so this was 2008, right? I mean, they hadn't, you know, they had won the, the champions league, you know, on the miracle of Istanbul, but like before then they really didn't have too much either. You know, they were in a huge flow, they were in a huge, low, and so I did just catch 'em right at the right. At the right time

Javier:

was carrying that theme. He was carrying that theme on back.

Bobby:

Yeah, absolutely. He was, he was, yeah. So, but yeah, so that's how I ended up Liverpool fan just cuz they were the, the closest Preston

Bento:

mm-hmm nice.

Bobby:

So in terms of, uh, the English premier league, like I said, you know, obviously, you know, we're all big fans of that league. What do you guys got for predictions in terms of, uh, who's who's gonna finish top four and who's gonna get relegated this year, coming up. I want, I wanna know some insights here, boys. Cause we bento and I bento and I, we fill out a grid every single year and we write down the tables and we predict all 20 spots, but then not only. We do a game all season long mm-hmm where we pick the score of every single game. If you get the score, right, you get three points. If you get the winner, right. Or if you chose to draw it, and it was a draw of any score, you get one point and we tally it up all the year. And so bento is the reigning, you know, he's got four, four championships in five years,

Bento:

dominance gone. so, so funny thing, Bobby won the championship in 20, 19, 20, 20, the same year Liverpool won the premier league for the first time. And he hasn't won anything since

Bobby:

what I'm saying, that was the only year I was really super invested. Cause I knew they were gonna get, yeah, we got this

Bento:

spreadsheet. We did, it's got literally hundreds of tabs every week. We did, we do tab. We do champions league, you know, we do Europa. Like it's a lot of fun. Yeah. I mean, it's a lot of fun. I mean, it's a lot of fun for me. I dunno about Bobby.

Bobby:

I'm a good sport. You know, I'm a good sport, you know, Liverpool's been winning TRO, so it makes it bearable, you know, And we beat and we beat Chelsea in two finals this year. So that was extra

Bento:

special, whatever. still got still the winningest team in the, since 2000. So mm-hmm but yeah, so yeah. So what you guys got, so give us some

Bobby:

help here. We gonna fill out our tables.

Bento:

Okay. Do you

Bobby:

want,

Javon:

do you wanna unbiased answer or do you

Bento:

want biased professional answer? Let's do bias. Let's do the unbiased first. And then I wanna hear your biased answer. Cause I think your biased answer would be very similar to my biased.

Javon:

all currently as it stands. All right. Javier hates my answers because my answers, while they're on point it's multiple sides. So I'm gonna just break it up for you guys. Oh, if we judge it based off summer signings managers in charge and The leagues of the past, I'm going to go city. This is in no order.

Bento:

Okay. So, oh, gotta do an order. Gotta do an order. Yeah. Give top six, top six top.

Javon:

I hear that too. Top six. Unbiased. I, as it stands, I'm sorry, boys, but it's gonna go. I think newness is gonna surprise a lot of people. Some I'm not gonna go live pool city. Wow. Arsenal, top num Chelsea and Manchester United.

Bento:

Wow. So why arsenal Anton? Over, over Chelsea? Look at the look

Javon:

at the summer signings and they trip up both

Bento:

themes. I just wanna strike her. I know.

Javon:

I wanna strike a rightwinger.

Bento:

So like how old is drag son? Can we get him? Is he, he only striker, like lifetime contract, like he's only 12, like fine. That's fucking bring him in

Javon:

all the help we can get the number nine

Bobby:

is real. Yeah. Right. Oh,

Bento:

I knew. I knew from was real. Yeah. Oh yeah.

Javon:

Let me just run through why my, my unbiased predictions are like that so far Liverpool. I think because they came so close last year and they came so close last year and they, they did a big change in terms of money for effectively for darn renewing. He's gonna come at a point to prove. Salala is going to say you gave the right guy, the, the contract, cuz it was a tossup between solar and money and, and Lu di he's fiery. He's like a fight. Oh yeah. So he's he's gonna come. He's gonna come good. The kid they signed from full and Fabio he's

Bento:

I've seen yeah.

Javon:

Watch he's one to watch out

Bobby:

for. I think he could actually, maybe not this season, but maybe next season. They're still gonna need to bring in another midfield to replace, to replace some of the elderly guys. But I think, yeah, hopefully. Yeah. But I think though that Fabio Kavalo, especially not this season, but next season could be that number 10 that they've been missing for so many years.

Javon:

Yeah. I think it, everyone knows whole clap. If for Meina doesn't leave a Inventus. Oh. He's gonna play a very pivotal role for, for Liverpool and then clap claps are genius going to, going to the reason why I have CT second, the, their primary focus is definitely going to be the champions league. Mm-hmm it's, it's like a noose hanging overs head. He, and he remember he has no excuses. Now he has the best striker in the world. That is true. That, and the reason why people are gonna say, oh, you got Benzema. Watch how Holland plays in a team where he gets chances and they actually have a proper defense. It's gonna be Holland versus MBBA for the next 10 years. And they're gonna go for the champions league. The reason why I say TNA it's UNC it's it's cane. He gets, he gets the first season. He was at Chelsea. Point moving right there. I need to

Bento:

say nothing else. Well, it's interesting about Kante, right? Because he's actually every team he's ever gone on. He's won a trophy the first year he's been there. Yeah. Except for that except for last year at to year. Exactly. So, yeah. So I think you're right. I think he's gonna be very dangerous this

Javon:

year. Exactly. If he doesn't, in terms of him and Chelsea, I expect him to either win the ethic cup or the carbo cup and he's gonna compete. He he's gonna compete in champs league. And if they drop out champs league, look for him doing, do something in, in the

Bobby:

Euro,

Bento:

Euro

Bobby:

Europa. Yeah. Yeah. That's a good point.

Javon:

Okay. Okay. If you look, and the reason why I have arsenal over Chelsea is big. Look, just look at the tr. They, if remember they have a very depleted squad, they finished just outside the top four last season. In fact, at some points in the season with a lesser squad than Chelsea, they almost took our spot in third.

Bento:

Right. And not only that, they were far down the table, the beginning of the season, so they could come back. Exactly

Javon:

you and they added that missing striker. They got arms in Chenko to cover left back. If TA is football season, if party can be fit all season, I still, I still don't. I still don't. I still don't like Jacka. So I'll just say, and, and ESR with SCA and Martinelli and. They're building a very complete squad. Ramsdale is solid in gold reason. Why we, reason why we're fit, why we, our squad. And I'm talking Chelsea, of course, of course our squad is currently in this array. We're in a transition period where yes, we got col valley. Yes, we got Sterling. But if you notice how we played in that preseason friendly and yes, it's a preseason friendly. The reason why I'm taking that preseason friendly. So I import so serious. If you look at how we played, it was a reflection, it was a flashback to last season where there are times in that game where arsenal could not touch that ball, but what did we do with it? Yeah. Right. I pick the police switch. He'll do something fantastic. Beat a player, swing the ball in the box says no one to

Javier:

Right. That is true. Right.

Javon:

True. If Mo doesn't say, Hey, we're losing this game. Let me pull my socks up and do something brilliant out the blue with a, with a depleting defense and or a restructured. We're not gonna do anything properly season, which is why. Wow. And TOK, my biggest grip of the season was that tool is not flexible in, in game formation changes. Or if the three, four threes not working, you have to switch to what these players are comfortable. Yeah. Which is our 4, 3, 3, and set up the players to win a fourth youth three, because in a 4 33, you cannot have more at right. Just drop him back in the middle. He Wasdo Z police under wings and then have a best position when he was at labor accusing his, when he played off a striker mm-hmm so we need that striker. He doesn't right. You couldn't even use runner there. You don't need less. Yes. You want the, your strike character score goals, but you don't necessarily need him the score goals. If he has that link up with his, with his number 10, which would be hav. Moving on for, and that's why I don't think Chelsea's gonna finish that. That's a great point

Bobby:

though. Unless we get, yeah, that's a great point though. Especially about haves. I've never really thought about like that, but without having that other person to play off of, I think you think tickle was trying to, uh, trying to hope that Ramaul Lu Kaku was gonna be that.

Javon:

Yeah, but he just, he just, it's

Bento:

not, I don't think that was a too cool choice. Lu Kaku I think that was a Chelsea Chelsea office choice. Yeah. Too

Javon:

cool choice was Holland. And if you look at the numbers now we are just 20. If we had to spend that extra 20 million. Yes, its still up to the player, but would I still have him would have Hal right now?

Bento:

I wish he would've said okay to Al though. I mean bring him in for 14, 15 million. I know he is not exactly what you're looking for, but you talk about playing off a striker. I mean who better to play off HAVs than Rendo.

Javier:

Exactly.

Javon:

Exactly. That's true. Yeah. Mm-hmm I think our perfect choice for that position and I'll do United next United fans, but I think our perfect choice are either. Jo Felix, or Lato Martinez. If you look at the

Bento:

Martinez, good, you look

Javon:

at their type of center forward play. It's not an striker, even though they can do that job. It's the type of striker that like to collect the ball that can beat three, four players

Bento:

up,

Javier:

come back, pick it up,

Javon:

or they can be penalty box poachers. They can strike from the, from the age of the 18, they got the distance shots in them. And the best part about it, or who loves to play. If you analyze hotels, they played, played brilliant NA season. That tracker is not. In that position only he'll switch position with the right ring, switch position with the cam switch position with the left wing. So that way you always have someone

Bento:

moving. Right. That's why Jay Jesus would've been perfect. Exactly. Would've been

Bobby:

perfect. Would've been, I like Lauro Martinez is a good shout though. He's good. Pressing

Bento:

too. I

Javier:

mean, exactly.

Javon:

Yeah. Mm-hmm he may look up what, what look like was when he scored 34 girls that entered. Oh. Cause if you look at his, his assist, he gave everything to look up,

Bento:

right? Yeah.

Javon:

He, that put goals, put the 23 goals that season and, and the high amount assistant at Chelsea see in a Chelsea team

Bento:

can go around. It's crazy though, that, like you said that because team over earner fits. Profile perfectly like he should be that guy you just described. He has such bad luck with the finishing and the open goals, like said I couldn't buy a goal a couple seasons ago. Yeah. Right. It's all about,

Javon:

I bet you, if you put him back on buns league right now,

Right

Bento:

about right. I even

Javier:

remember wearing in the bonus league, he's one of the most deadly track ever. Yeah. Yeah. It was crazy for me to go the ride in center. You could have done anything, but I moved to Chelsea. I remember he was linked to Liverpool as well, but yeah, met

Javon:

up.

Bobby:

I think he would've done a little bit better

Javon:

at, yeah. I was about to say much as it hurts to

Bento:

say

Bobby:

the warmer

Bento:

environment, that

Javon:

system, and it fits his system cuz they would utilize his pace more. Yeah. You know, and just to wrap up my point United fans United I've said multiple times and the fan also last season that United is not gonna have team anymore. No, don't laugh. Don't laugh. Is it true? I'm not even trying to be funny. They're no, of course not. Of

Bento:

course. It's just, it's just so

Bobby:

you know what I mean? So enjoyable.

Javon:

There are top team in terms that club structure stature and what they've done in the past. But if you look at that team 10 had. In his first season, it's about stomping his mark on the team. Not necessarily the league, of course, we're looking for different, uh, uh, increase in better performances and stuff. And to at least compete for those top six spots all the way through, but it's mostly, the stamp is authority on the team that say whatever I say goes, and if you're not playing well, you're getting the hook and you're getting out of this club.

Bento:

Yeah.

Bobby:

Right. I would love to see him. I would love to see him really be given the authority and, and the purse strengths and things like that. Exactly. I, I think that if ed Woodward wasn't in his way, what would happen? You know what I mean? Exactly. That's I do think that he is a very capable manager and especially his scouting departments and things like that, that he worked with at Ijax like mm-hmm, he's a, he's a no joke

kind

Javon:

of fella. Yeah. And that's why I think United's got their guy, but I think he needs a full season, so to implement his strategy. But so when, so next season, when players come in, they know what they're coming into. Mm right. Frankie. They young doesn't want to go to United. It's not only because they're not playing in champ football. They, because if you look at the past 24 months, this club is a joke. right. Yeah. This club is a absolute

Bobby:

joke. Absolutely. And everybody's unhappy. So who wants to go into that locker room like that? Right.

Javon:

Exactly. And that is why my unbiased opinion is. Chelsea's outside of the top four United finish, I think a, a position above where they finished that season and I'm expecting big things from top a a. Now my quick unbiased opinion, my quick biased opinion is I'm gonna go, uh, city first, cuz Hal's gonna score a book, blah, Liverpool. Uh, Chelsea second, cuz we're gonna get some great signings. So we're gonna go for the

Bento:

leave we still got, we still got time. We still got time to sign. Yeah. That a whole month and a week left.

Javon:

Yeah, we still got time. Liverpool third only because there's a counter point that Daron is could just not. The pick that everyone expecting him to be right. Sellers. So you remember in the last two season, seller always drops off in that last two months of the season. Sure. Does sellers drop off is gonna actually take a bigger effect, Louis Diaz while, while cracker, while, while he's a firecracker, he could miss a lot of chances not provide as much, but still

Bobby:

do something. Yeah. And then. He's gonna improve finishing. And the other thing with Salah, you bring up a good point. I, I think one thing that could lean in his favor is he did retire from international football this last year. Yeah. Because

Javon:

they didn't go to Egypt because they didn't go to the world cup.

Bobby:

Yeah. Right. So that's one thing I might know, maybe saves his legs a little bit for the end of the season, but I agree yeah. That without Saudi mane, especially those last couple legs of the season of the season, it's gonna be, somebody's gotta pick up those goals. Yeah.

Javon:

And mean, and as good as SD SDS was last season, he's still an unproven commodity over a full 30, 38 game SAC. Yeah.

Bento:

And that's what season gonna be really big. Yeah.

Javon:

Arsenal definitely got finished up for next season. It, it, it is not a, it is not, if it is a must and for arsenal, it is a must for them to win the Europe league and then United for it's true. It's true.

Bento:

It's true. Well, I hope your, I hope your unbiased opinion is very wrong.

Bobby:

I think arsenal too, you know, if they don't get the top four this year, it's gonna set them back in

Bento:

terms of it's a failure them back. What if they, what if they hit like fifth, but they get like the FA cup or something like that. I mean, I think

Bobby:

that champions league to throw the, they hit fifth

Javon:

and they win the Euro league. Cause arsenal has never

Bento:

league before.

Javon:

Exactly. So if they finish fifth, when you are a league and bring on my FA cup or car cup trophy, that's a hundred percent successful seed.

Bento:

Sure. Yeah, I agree. I agree.

Javon:

I agree. Yeah. And that's my bias and unbiased

Bento:

again. So. All right. So before we start the wrap up, Javier, who do you got for the top six? Yeah, top six.

Javier:

Okay. I'm going off in man city to win the league reason. Why? Okay. They got the best tracker in the world. They Gotland, he had a really good season. Could see river plate, all of different auto couple laboratories, but he was really good. They could finally have a striker. They have to win the league and they have to compete for the champ league as well. I believe they can. I believe they can. They okay. They can do both. They can. The squad, they have the squad. Especially in center back as well. They didn't sell it AKI. So that's a plus mm-hmm although they're missing a ring, but I believe coal Palmer, big talent right there, and greenish have to step up unfold in. So, you know, they have the, they have the depth, they can go forward second. I'm sorry, but Liverpool has to be second. And the reason why I to, to be honest, although solar is that clear. For Liverpool money, money leaving. I think money was play that Liverpool actually needs the most to keep. Right. I mean, look, when he was one with Senegal, X, Y, and Z, all that was still Onala all the time and not money. So, I mean, he might have felt like, okay, you know what, let me leave and go to somewhere where I can be that player Byron LDO is gone. So he's gonna be that starting player for them.

Bento:

I'm going forward.

Javier:

Liverpool. He didn't really got that appreciation as much

Bobby:

from, you know, and you already won everything at Liverpool. He's got nothing left to win there. And I think too, I think too, with monic, like Liverpool are gonna miss him big time because when games are not going their way, he was their outlet. He was their outlet

Javier:

for it. Exactly. But you have Dar Nuez right know he seems to be adjusting to the play. He doesn't speak English. So he's learning from Tiago and Dara, you know, translate X, Y, and Z. But if he, I mean, his score four goes alligator guess like speak. But if he continues to go on that same path, I still seeing Liverpool camp pushed onto win the league. They almost on that last season. So why not? Yeah, but still manity then Liverpool, uh, third, I would go for arsenal cause. AEL almost went into top three last season. Mm-hmm they recruited really well. This window is extremely good that I've seen in years for. Arsal just that if they can close this window with, uh, right wing who can play striker and a cent mid feeler who can play eight and probably six or the skate primarily. Yeah, I believe they can do some serious damage as well. If party can stay. Please. I hope he does safety they can't really push on and get started. And, you know, mostly when the Euro league, what I'm seeing real. So that is in the Euro league and re be. So, you know, those teams are right. Real trick and you know, Laga teams in Euro league and the champion league. They're really difficult. Yeah.

Bobby:

That's S out there still and goes teams. Yeah. You can never

Bento:

count him out.

Javier:

Yeah. Never count him out as well. Yeah. Yeah. Although I don't like him. I don't count him. I

Bobby:

don't, I don't either, but it's crazy. His record is the league. It's unbelievable.

Javier:

It is. For, I go for spurs. Okay. I know spurs has the better manager than arsenal. Yeah. The better manager he has. Okay. The place that he got, he got this window are not like players were like, you know, extra ordinary X, Y, and Z, but I have no contest, 2011 with veto when he, you know, had them in Syria, bringing veto back up to the top. He needs player who can run hard, run hard, defend. Have that low block and, you know, can't just lock in the game and get results. That's just who cane is. I'd say one thing. Yeah. You know, have your Hoberg I'm he can really do that for the mid feeling. I see.

Bobby:

Yeah. Baos good signing.

Bento:

Yeah. I

Javon:

makes players are better. Cante makes his bigger, better for sure. So don't, it's gonna be a task up between arsenal andt for that. Yeah.

Bento:

I, I agree. I totally

Javier:

agree. And I seen Tatum training with Ponti and the players are running in, in the hot sun,

Javon:

42, 42

Javier:

lap they're up and they're, you know, dropping on the ground. That's what a building for the entire season. They gotta run their longs out, like, like hell you understand. And you have a child soon as well. I, I believe you stuck on the right cane and sun that be a French in a hole. That's gonna be pretty dangerous. To be honest, I cannot lie sort of deter on fourth spot is, will be a real battle between those teams. Fifth I have Monday night. Okay. Let's just see,

Bento:

let see, kill me, man. Kill.

Javon:

I'm like waiting.

Bento:

Oh, okay. To be honest, to be honest. Okay. You gotta him in reation what's going on. I OK.

Javon:

To be fair.

Javier:

OK. Let me lemme say why. OK. Lemme say why fifth? I believe. Okay. Chris Rano might be

Bento:

staying. It looks like he's going. I don't know. But Eric had,

Javier:

Eric wants to work with him and it seems that at least he has a control over what to do with ING other, the Marine managers. They didn't really have enough power, but. They kind of turn things to everything hungry right now. You understand? And he bringing in some players, I don't know if the young, the young, I don't really know. I don't think he wants to go to man 90, but I still think they can probably bring in a next meet feeler so they can at least get a CD who can at least do something. I see. They have players like yeah. In the league, in the league, they have players like ZDA IAC. Some you players as well. San needs to perform.

Bento:

Oh yeah. Hundred

Javier:

wasted last season. Exactly. Marsh does just mean, I said, Marsha, be the best player in the world. Funny me. But Marsha is a really good player and. He can actually score goals if he

Bento:

can turn him back to, he can't be right. Yeah. I mean, so star never used them. Like he should have been used. Exactly. And 10

Javon:

had makes players better too.

Javier:

Exactly. You see that IX? I actually had, no, he had barely had any

Bento:

resources at Ijax perform really good too. Yeah. Rashford mm-hmm

Javier:

exactly. And I mean, he has money not to spin. He brought to some players players recently and they seemed to be pretty good at, in the pre season and okay. Rashford, Marsha Ronaldo. San LAN

Bobby:

LAN LAN,

Bento:

right? I mean, they got the names on paper, right? When you see that team, you're my God. These Arely a four to get the most out

Javier:

of them. You understand? And I, and I believe he can, he can do it,

Javon:

but that's why I don't put them top that close to top four, because it's a huge,

Bento:

if yeah, it is a you're coming from, it's probably gonna take a year to get going. Exactly. You're coming

Javon:

from horrible managers,

Javier:

bro had problem because I wanted to put Chelsea up further, but just that Chelsea is missing a few things. I know a few things that so true. That's true. It's two, many loopholes right now. And I believe that's of the problem when you keep changing managers so much. Cause okay. Lampard Lampard made the foundation with the youth. And so like that, yes, tool came in, he won champion league X, Y, and Z, but he still has players who, okay. He managed them, but he still need players. You understand? He only been here for like. Year and a half. Yeah, year and a half. I haven't gotten place that he needed, but Chelsea has been real, a strike for so long Luka would they spent so much money than him. One of the most expensive loans, but

Bento:

two years now they loan him out. They just sold him for another two for a loan.

Javier:

Look, this is go

Javon:

later. Martinez, please. I spoke,

Javier:

I spoke to Jevon many times. You have Roger.

Bento:

Abraham, right. Those players are free

Javier:

and they excelling at all. Clubs. Abraham had a good loan at Roma,

Javon:

20 calls, 20 goals plus season.

Javier:

Exactly. Bro is a really good player. So

Bento:

bro is a good player, right? I mean, Abraham, you look at Abraham he's, he's playing in Italy. So it's tough to compare the two, you know, like true. It's it's so much tougher to score, but you got a guy like BJA. He was playing in the EPL already. He was talking about getting rid of him. Like, can we just keep this guy, please just give him a chance. He's free. He's already arms. I,

Javier:

I, I think he was linked west humble with somebody

Bento:

they're saying he's probably gonna stay now. So yeah, I hope he does.

Javier:

He should get the. Yeah. That's sort thing that is killing Chelsea striking options. Right now, make our home going play. Just get the chance and see where we're going from there. Right. That's what J said. Two could been flexible. He hasn't really been flexible. Cause look, the players, especially man Mon can't play anywhere, anywhere. He can't play anywhere. I just don't think he, I lost no think Toka, can't find the right place on the lamp part. He played on the right wing. He played. So he played

Javon:

on the lamp part, his primary position not to be, but his primary position was that cam cause he never had hazard coverage at the time. Okay. Yeah. So we had William, we had William, we had pull, we had tell me here man. And Mo was right

Bento:

behind and it was brilliant. It was nice. Yeah.

Javier:

I get you. And other thing well

Javon:

is attacked midfielder

Javier:

that's yeah. That's as well. Yeah. Only thing as where I still think they're missing a player. Who can windows windows, you know, those penalties, the free kicks score, triple class players are going own. I'm saying hazard, right? No, although they got policy, but I just don't think policy is just that, that player, they actually need

Bento:

you Sterling can't stay healthy Sterling now.

Javier:

Okay.

Javon:

They got Sterling, but we need another player like Sterling on other wing. Yeah. You know, they do.

Javier:

Yeah. You needs to wing options. What I can say, Chelsea strengthen, strengthen in the defense. They did that for real. Al right. I don't know what from, yeah, it doesn't

Bento:

look like he's coming. No, he,

Javon:

he, he's definitely gonna Barsa but we we're going after million Milan Skinner. I'm a huge five

Bobby:

Skinner actually with

Bento:

is nice. Yeah.

Javier:

And I believe us Cesar is leaving. Who's his

Bento:

leaving. I don't leaving this year. I think they're gonna keep him. They

Bobby:

said Rudiger left Christiansen

Bento:

left.

Javon:

Left. Yeah. It looks like as is leaving because Chelsea has another meeting with Barcelona and we'll, we'll hear the, the, the, the final, the final results of that meeting by the end of the week. I think he's goal is going if he, if he. Thank you for everything. Because again, he won everything with

Bento:

Chelsea, every single, I mean, he's like, he's like, you know, he's up there with Lampard and John Terry status drop, he, you know, petered pet ache, like he's up there with the elites of, of Chelsea history.

Javon:

Yeah. So I wouldn't be too mad if he leaves, plus he he's losing his legs anyways. Right. So if we could get a and we are so to replace him, we're going after dumb freeze. If you ever

Bobby:

seen dumb freeze play. Yeah. From net one, you wanted watch your club. Yeah. Yeah. He's a good

Javon:

player. Yeah. Like, so those last two defensive spots are, are, as it stands, we're going for dumb freeze and million screener. Yeah. And then two co COI, we have too much bit fillers, so we just need a stroke and

Bento:

right, right. Way. Yeah. Cause our, our left back and right back are great. I mean, we're gonna finally see chill well back playing after last year injury. And then, you know, we got a Reese James who was just amazing on the right. So yeah. Mm-hmm, fabulous. Fabulous. Good

Javon:

stuff. If we do those settings, we'll be fine.

Bobby:

Who's who's gonna be the first manager fired this year. My money is on Frank.

Javier:

Yeah. I'm out Frank too as well. I'm out Frank. I part as well. I'm that's

my

Bento:

first I'm. I hate to say it's probably gonna be Frank, Frank you're

legend.

Javon:

You're a legend. True blue all day, but you should know it to every time, bro.

Bobby:

S I know, I feel like might be in the reation battle again this year, unfortunately. Yeah, I believe so

Bento:

as well. I don't picked anybody up, right. Nobody

Bobby:

notable at least.

Bento:

Right. I mean, they got rid of a Charleston, which was their, a good player.

Javier:

Yeah. That's no quality. They got no quality

Javon:

de alley. Like he's just not

Bento:

a player anymore. We would talk Bobby. And I would just talk about that. We used to be up on deli alley and Jesse Lingard, and we like OHS some great cams and they both just kind of fell face of the earth. indeed. I mean, at least linger was gonna get his chance over at not, uh, nodding and. Yeah, we talk about a step down, but I mean good

Bobby:

for him at least. No. Good. Yeah. Good for

Javon:

not good. Not good for him. He had the chance to go back to west. Remember w almost got four last

Bento:

you forgot. Yeah. I remember seeing museum comparing Medo stats

Javon:

west linger,

Javier:

Gardenia.

Bobby:

Hilarious. That was the same. Oh God. Well, terrific. Well, terrific. All right, boys. Well, thank you again so much for joining us at the end of every show, we always, you know, we want our guests drop your plugs, tell people where they can find you, how they can get in touch with you. No problem.

Javier:

No problem. Well, our social media is, uh, our Instagram is the final whistle podcast on, you know, Instagram, uh, Twitter is the whistle. What

Javon:
